About Kelly

Hi there! I am Kelly and I use she/her pronouns. I am glad you’re here! Congratulations on taking the courageous step toward finding a therapist that is the best fit for you. Advocating for yourself and finding the right fit with a therapist is crucial to having a good therapy experience!

As a therapist, my goal is to provide a nurturing, compassionate, non-judgemental space where you feel understood, even if we haven’t walked the same paths or shared the same experiences in life. I offer a warm, collaborative and consistent presence that supports you in building upon your inner strengths as you navigate all the challenges that come with being human. I view our time in therapy as an opportunity for you to explore your life with more curiosity and less judgment as you discover what helps you navigate your experiences with more confidence and compassion.

I am a white, cis-gender, able-bodied therapist and licensed clinical social worker. I view my work through the lens of social justice and use a strengths-based, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and feminist approach to therapy.  I’m committed to engaging in therapy in a way that is non-pathologizing and recognizes the impact of oppressive systems on the human experience.

I enjoy working with adults 18 and older from varied lifestyles, cultures, faiths and backgrounds. I have specific training in solution focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, motivational interviewing, Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and DBT. I am currently in training for EMDR therapy.

My experiences range from community mental health work, medical social work and a former career in global clinical trial research (pharmaceutical research).

When I am not working, you can find me gardening, singing, practicing my Spanish, traveling and spending time outdoors.
